Opinion: The Pacific Islands Forum’s Forgotten Pacific Islanders

No one disputes that a central objective of the Pacific Islands Forum (PIF) is to improve and enhance the broad socio-economic and political development of Pacific Island peoples and address any and all factors regarding that noble objective. 

But one more Forum meeting has gone by, attended by smiling leaders of Pacific Island peoples, Australia (Albanese) and NZ (Ardern), adorned in colourful matching shirts and dresses, with all the usual pomp and circumstance and salusalus, and rubbing of shoulders and fist bumps.
