ONE Pacific Airways, Naoero Airlines, are exploring commercial and operational cooperation, including flight scheduling, passenger connections, cargo and maintenance.
The airlines concluded discussions in Singapore as part of an ongoing process to identify practical and commercially viable opportunities that could benefit both airlines and improve connectivity across the Pacific.
Potential areas of cooperation include ticketing and web systems, operational support and other commercial opportunities. The discussions are also focused on how the airlines can complement each other’s operations and develop a potential framework for cooperation.
“We see opportunities for the two airlines to work together in a practical and commercially focused way,” One Pacific Airways Founder and President Chih Yuan Wang said.
“Our discussions have been focused on identifying areas where we can complement each other and create better connectivity and commercial opportunities.”
Naoero Airlines Chairman Charleston Deiye said the discussions presented “a positive opportunity” for the airlines to explore how they could work together.
“We are looking at practical areas of cooperation that can provide commercial benefits to both airlines and, where appropriate, improve connectivity for our passengers and communities,” Deiye said.
The two airlines will continue discussions on potential areas of cooperation. Any future arrangements will be subject to further commercial negotiations and the necessary regulatory and government approvals. “At this stage, the discussions are focused on exploring opportunities and developing a potential framework for cooperation, with specific commercial commitments to be announced as progressed.”
