The Fijian Drua held their third Annual Drua Presentation & Awards Night at the Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa on Denarau, to thank its players for their efforts in 2025.

It was a special night for the Club to take stock of its four-year journey in Super Rugby Pacific and Super Rugby Women’s competitions, ad

acknowledge players and those behind the scenes who work tirelessly to support the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua Men, and the Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua Women’s teams.

A total of 13 Awards were handed out during a star-studded evening in Nadi.

Swire Shipping Fijian Drua Co-captain Frank Lomani was awarded the ANZ Personal Development Award.

This award is for the player who has made substantial gains on their life after rugby plans. The winner is selected in consultation with the Pacific Rugby Players, the body representing professional rugby players in Fiji and the Pacific.

Frank Lomani has demonstrated remarkable initiative and productivity through his Life After Rugby (LAR) plans.

Following his participation in the Start Your Own Business course, Frank took confident steps to bring his vision to life—establishing his own transportation company, Masada Riders.

His business continues to grow, and he has plans in the pipeline of expanding into other ventures, all while diversifying his portfolio.

Tuidraki Samusamuvodre was awarded the Tanoa Hotels Community Champion- Men.

This award is a special one and the winner is selected by the Front Office staff of the Fijian Drua, who drive the Club’s community and sponsorship activities. It is given to the player who stood this year, inspiring kids and adults alike as well as our Drua Sponsor vuvale. The winner fully understands the importance of keeping the Club connecting with our community, the DRUA NATION as well as fulfil our obligations to our sponsors, to help us do what we do every single day.

Tuidraki was chosen unanimously for this award. He has been at the forefront our community efforts this season and stood out with his commitment to the cause for both community engagement and sponsorship activity.  He has been to remote communities, to schools all over Fiji and made numerous appearances at events organised by our sponsors.

He regularly assists younger members of the Drua squad and development players, balancing off the field activity this season with his regular selection in the matchday 23.

Josivini Naihamu was awarded the 2025 Encore Women’s Rookie of the Year.

The player must be in their first year of Super Rugby Women and is voted by the coaches of the Women’s team, with the Head Coach retaining the deciding vote. The player is selected for their ability to adapt to the demands of Super Rugby Women through outstanding levels of self-leadership, discipline, and professionalism.

Josivini was outstanding all season, putting the entire Super Rugby Women’s competition on notice with a try in her first official match.

Ponipate Loganimasi was awarded the Pepsi Men’s Rookie of the Year.

Similarly, the winning player must be in their first year of Super Rugby Pacific. This award is voted by the coaches of the Men’s team. The player is selected for their ability to adapt to the demands of Super Rugby Pacific through outstanding levels of self-leadership, discipline, and professionalism.

What a year it has been for this young man. From the Olympic Silver Medal to a brilliant transition to professional rugby. He is currently the leading try scorer for the Drua this season with 6 tries.

Fijian Drua Women’s Salaseini Railumu was awarded the 2025 Fan Player of the Year, and Ponipate Loganimasi was awarded the 2025 Men’s Fan Player of the Year.

Every season, all season long the club runs a poll for fans to vote for their player of the year. We do this after every game, and this award is based on the total votes collected throughout the season for the Mens and Womens players.

Vitalina Naikore was awarded 2025 Punjas Women’s Players’ Player of the Year, Elia Canakaivata was awarded Fiji Sun’s Men’s Players’ Player of the Year.

This award is for a player who embodies everything a teammate should be on the field, having earned the respect and trust of those around them. It is voted for exclusively by the men’s and women’s players themselves.

Zuriel Togiatama was awarded the MOGUL Dausoko Award.

The Mogul Dausoko Award is given to a true Drua sailor who reflects everything the Fijian Drua is about. This player is consistent in modelling the Club’s values of relentlessness, discipline, and integrity.

Alfreda Fisher was named the Rooster Chicken Women’s Player of the Year.

As the name suggests, the award is for the best women’s player for season 2025. It is selected by the Head Coach, and is the highest honour awarded on the night for the women’s team.

In her rookie season, Alfreda Fisher stood out for her stellar performances and leadership on and off the field. Her efforts have seen her now handed the captaincy of the Vodafone Fijiana team. We are all extremely proud of her amazing success! Ladies and gentlemen please be upstanding to honour our Rooster Chicken Women’s Player of the Year.

Isoa Nasilasila was awarded the Men’s Player of the Year Award.

The Men’s Player of the Year is selected by the Men’s Head Coach. It is the most prestigious award to be handed out for the men’s team tonight. Nasilasila has been a consistent performer for the Drua all season. His work ethic, commitment and dedication has won him praise from coaches, staff, sponsors and fans alike. The the man from Viseisei, Vuda is on the cusp of making 50 appearances for the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua.
