These were the words of Simione Sevudrere, a prominent advocate for indigenous resilience, during a plenary discussion at this year’s Global Development Conference, which brought together experts, policymakers, researchers, and practitioners worldwide.
Sevudredre emphasised the need to recognise and integrate Indigenous knowledge, memory, and values into these discussions.
