SPBD FINANCIAL EDUCATION
FACILITATOR OF THE YEAR 2020
LAISA VAKALOLOMA
Congratulations to Laisa Vakaloloma of Lakena
Centre, who is SPBD’s Financial Education
Facilitator of the Year 2020.
The SPBD Financial Education Facilitator
of the Year and finalists are recognised for
demonstrating great dedication and consistency
in mentoring their co-members in maintaining
their financial diaries and managing their
household and business finances.
Laisa believes her success is due to her ability to
teach the Lakena Centre members to manage
and record their own accounts. She says after
learning how to fill out the accounting records
herself at the SPBD headquarters, she came
back and taught the other members.
“I gave them homework, and they came back
the next week and I checked that,” she says.
“Now they fully understand how to manage
their money, how to spend it, and how to save
their money.” Laisa has been a member of SPBD for two years.
Through the COVID-19 related lockdowns and She makes and sells jewellery and purini and set
