Congratulations to Repeka Titila of Kanakana
Centre, who is SPBD’s Individual Saver for
2020.
The SPBD Individual Saver of the Year and
finalists are recognised for demonstrating
consistent savings habits and their ability to
build up funds for the future
Repeka has been a SPBD member for seven
years and has been Centre Chief at Kanakana
since it first opened in 2012.
A hardworking businesswoman, Repeka has
used the profits from her retail shop and kava
business to build up her savings.
“I believe whatever I sweat for should be utilised
properly…for savings,” Repeka said.

She leads by example, ensuring Kanakana
Centre meetings are well attended and properly
conducted, saying that being a good leader
is about understanding and respecting the
situation of members, and hearing members’
voices before taking decisions.
