“The closure of all schools nationwide will be one week, starting from Monday, 28 July to Friday, 1 August 2025, while school fumigation programs are carried out,” he said in a statement.

From January to July 20 Samoa recorded 1756 laboratory-confirmed cases with hospital reports indicating an average of over 100 new cases per week.

The Ministry of Health confirmed the presence of two dengue virus serotypes circulating in the country as DENV-1and DENV-2.
