THE Uto Ni Yalo is sailing for Honiara tonight accompanied by the Solomon Islands canoe, Tepuke.
After a short resupply stop in Lata, the canoes put to sea for the Pacific Islands Leaders Forum.
The Uto took eight days to sail from Fiji and was joined in Lata by the Tepuke which sailed from the Duff Islands.
Both are sail powered and carry a message calling for safe oceans and sustainable sea transport.
Before the canoes set sail, they were blessed by the local priest of the Anglican Archdiocese of Melanesia.
