Solomon Airlines spreads wings

Spreading wings … Solomon Airlines aircraft prepares for flight.

SOLOMON Airlines will focus on routes from Australia and New Zealand to Vanuatu from October.

The Solomons national carrier announced there had been a developing tourism demand on the sectors.

This follows Air Vanuatu resuming full domestic services after the devastating earthquakes last year disrupted flights, airport operations, and the tourism industry.

“We are designing operations to best meet customer demand, especially for tourism development,” said Solomon Airlines Commercial Manager John Wopereis.

Under the revised schedule, Solomon Airlines will re-implement a Brisbane–Espiritu Santo–Brisbane service on Thursday in both directions.
