PREPARATIONS are underway in Samoa for the UB40 Pacific Tour featuring the legendary Ali Campbell.
The Samoan capital, Apia, is expected to come alive on January 31 when the popular band takes centre stage at the national stadium.
Efforts are underway to fly concert goers into Apia from neighbouring American Samoa, Hawaii, New Zealand and Australia.
Samoa Tourism’s CEO, Niumata Kitiona Pogi, said the local community was enthusiastic
“STA is proud to be part of UB40’s Pacific tour, presenting us with a unique opportunity that perfectly aligns with our marketing vision,’’ Pogi said.
“We are absolutely elated at the timing of this concert, which coincides beautifully with our traditionally quieter season. This is a golden opportunity for us to enhance our investments and, most importantly, to uplift our wider community. It’s the perfect way to usher in 2026, just as kids prepare to head back to school, while generating excitement across the community.”
UB40 will perform at Teufaiva Park in Nuku’alofa, Tonga, on January 28 as part of the Big Love Pacific Tour.
