PHILIPPINE Airlines will begin twice-weekly service between Palau and Manila starting March 29, expanding international access and strengthening travel links for residents, visitors, and the Palauan diaspora.
The flights will operate on a scheduled basis and will be available for online booking, according to Efren Adrian Llanos of the airline’s Sales Department.
The new service connects Palau to the airline’s global network of more than 40 destinations across Asia, the United States mainland, and Europe. Major long-haul hubs include Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Seattle, Honolulu, and Toronto. The carrier also operates extensive regional routes to cities such as Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka, Seoul, Bangkok, and Singapore.
The expanded service is expected to benefit many Palauans living in the United States, particularly on the West Coast, by providing a direct travel option from U.S gateway cities to Manila and onward to Palau.
With the addition of two weekly Philippine Airlines flights, combined with existing United Airlines service, the number of direct flights between Palau and the Philippines will increase from two to four per week.
