FIJI’S Bula FC went all out in the first seven minutes of their OFC match against South Island United, rattling the defence with wave after wave of attack.

Kaile Auvray and Thomas Dunn initiated the attacks, and Setareki Hughes fired a shot for Bula FC, but it was covered well by South Island United’s goalkeeper.

The New Zealanders refused to be intimidated and hit back hard. Rovu Boyers burst up the middle before he weighted a pass forward to David Yoo, who was in the clear. Yoo scored the first goal of the match in the 16th minute.

Minutes later, South Island United scored their second goal of the match with a Boyers header.

Lewis Partridge was the mastermind behind the plays for South Island United. His long passes and cross kicks were very accurate all afternoon as they led 2–0.

Roy Krishna scored for Bula FC in the early minutes of the second half, but the VAR ruled Krishna offside and disallowed the goal.

Then in the 56th minute, Thomas Dunn narrowed the margin with a powerful header.

Dunn’s goal shifted the momentum as Bula staged a comeback.

After some relentless pressure, Bula FC was awarded a penalty in the 88th minute. Roy Krishna was unfazed by the noisy crowd as he drilled in Bula’s second goal of the match.

Then, at the dead of injury time, Scott Wara hammered in a bicycle kick to take Bula FC into the lead as the clock ticked away.

At the final whistle, it was Bula FC-Island United, 3–2.

This win will bring Bula FC into third place in the overall table.
