THE bottom of the table clash in Round Four of the OFC saw Hekari FC take on Tahiti United.
Hekari’s Joseph Joe scored a spectacular goal from a corner kick on 22 minutes, curling the ball perfectly past the defence.
On half time, Shan scored a header from point-blank range for Tahiti to level the scores 1–1.
Rex Naime turned the Tahiti defenders inside-out to score Hekari’s second goal and take his team into the lead in the dying stages of the match.
But Tahiti was awarded a penalty in injury time sparking an appeal from Hekari management on the sideline. The on-field referee and Video Assistant Referees (VARs) maintained their decision and Teaonui Tehau stepped up to nail the equalizer.
