Tuvalu seeks urgent action

Tuvalu’s Climate Changer Minister, Dr Maina Talia

TUVALU has convened a high-level donor roundtable meeting with the Asian Development Bank and UN Development Programme to call for urgent action to safeguard its future and fight against climate change.

The meeting included leaders from Tuvalu, technical experts, and donor representatives to align efforts around the country’s national priorities.

In particular, talks focused on the need for coastal protection, climate adaptation, and sustainable development.

Tuvalu’s delegation was led by Climate Minister Dr Maina Talia.

The roundtable also discussed resilient infrastructure, nature-based solutions, community-led planning, and integrated land-use approaches building on lessons learned from the Tuvalu Coastal Adaptation Project.
