China Centre curiousity

Questions are being asked about the mandate and work of the newly-launched China-Pacific Island Countries Center for Disaster Risk Reduction and Cooperation. Hosted in Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province, the opening was attended by China’s new Special Envoy for Pacific Island Countries Affairs, Qian Bo, who is also the country’s former ambassador to Fiji. Solomon Islands Minister of Rural Development, Duddley Kopu was also there, as were diplomatic representatives from other Pacific Island countries.
