the Year and finalists are recognised
for the best examples of Centre
record-keeping and efficient Centre
collections.
Congratulations to SPBD Fiji Centre Secretary of the Year
2023, Elena Lagia (Tavuki Centre, Taveuni)!
Elena established her business in 2021, and she sells tie-dye Photo
items, sews, provides catering services, sells kava, and bakes.
The 40-year-old has managed to save FJ$500 a week on
average, and supports Tavuki’s 26 members, alongside the
other Centre leaders.
Her fellow members say Elena also plays a leadership role
within her church, and succeeds by “putting things first”.
