The University of Fiji Umanand Prasad School of Medicine and Health Sciences has announced the establishment of a new alliance with the Australian Medical Students’ Association (AMSA).

Mr. Osama bin Khalid, Year 4 MBBS student at Umanand Prasad School of Medicine and Health Sciences said the new collaboration with AMSA will open up numerous opportunities for our local students to rub shoulders with Australian counterparts.

“It will also pave the way for incoming support in resources and capacity building supplements from Australia. Our vuvale partnership will soar great heights with this bilateral collaboration,” he said.

The AMSA is the peak representative body of Australia’s 17,000 medical students. Its mandate is to connect, inform and represent medical students through national and grassroots advocacy, annual conferences, projects and publications.
