Oceania Hospitals Pte Ltd (OHPL) are proud to announce that 99% of our staff are vaccinated with at least the first jab; some have received their second jab also.
The few remaining are obtaining medical advice to satisfy their personal conditions before they receive their first jab.
OHPL strongly recommends ALL Fijians to vaccinate to protect our community, our families and our long term livelihood. We fully support the Ministry of Health vaccination program through Dr Rachel Pillay and her Team. OHPL, as part of the Corporate Social Responsibility, have vaccinated, approximately 2000 individuals, in Suva CBD with the Ministry of Health Team.
We note that there are numerous social media and other influencers that are questioning the vaccination and effects of the vaccine. We urge all to have confidence in the World Health Organization and Ministry of Health protocols and research that proves the effectiveness of the vaccine and the protection vaccines provides. These are all evidence based.
As part of the Health Care industry, we are comfortable that our Team have chosen to be protected and have also chosen to protect their families and their community by being vaccinated.
We emphasize, please vaccinate to protect yourself, your family and the community at large. Our hope lies in the vaccination program for long term sustainability and protection of those that are vulnerable.
