Solomon Airlines announces code-share service with Air Niugini

Solomon Airlines has announced its code-share flight services with Air Niugini between Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea will recommence next month.

In a statement, Solomon Airlines announced the service which will resume on Saturday 6 August, a month after the country’s international borders have reopened.

“We are pleased to confirm our code-share flight services between Honiara and Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea are now available for sale.

“Flight IE708 is scheduled every Saturday starting 6 August departing Port Moresby 9:45am, arriving Honiara 1:05pm, and Flight IE709 Sundays starting 7 August departing Honiara 11:30am, arriving Port Moresby 12:50pm,” the statement said.

Solomon Airlines also resumed its code-share service with Fiji Airways a fortnight ago.

It started its services from Tarawa to Brisbane last month.

Passengers intending to book must have a visa to enter Australia, or a transit visa and another flight departure within 72 hours of arrival.

Passengers who are transiting in Australia within 8 hours to another country, may not require a visa but will need to advise of their connecting flight at the time of booking.
