QUIET calm is the order of the morning at the National Count and Result centre at Laucala.
Since before midnight last night, there has not been any new results updated on the Fiji Elections App.
In the results centre, data entry has continued through the night, although with somewhat less excitement and pace than in the previous 24 hours. Outside in the carpark, a temporary shelter houses the count centre where officials had last night opened local postal ballot boxes from around the country. However counting there has stopped for several hours.
Officials are no longer communicating directly with the media with all journalists directed to refer to the App for all information releases. Save for a press conference at 5pm yesterday and another one scheduled for this afternoon, no official explanations have been made.
