Rabuka wins appeal

By Samisoni Pareti

The FICAC appeal against the case of SODELPA leader has been rejected by Chief Justice Gates.

The decision handed down this afternoon means Rabuka can contest Wednesday’s general elections.

FICAC had appealed against the lower court’s decision to acquit Rabuka on charges of making false declarations of his finances to the Supervisor of Elections.

Because of the media blackout currently enforced in the lead up to Wednesday’s polls, SODeLPA cannot publicly advise its supporters of the implications of today’s High Court decision
