Kaibu Island for Harry and Meghan

A PATROL boat will travel to the exclusive Kaibu Resort overnight to provide security for Fiji’s royal guests.
 
The RFNS Kikau will carry a team of navy divers and special forces who will protect Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, who travels to the island tomorrow.
 
Divers will carry out security checks in the waters around the luxury resort. Special forces will patrol the resort grounds.
 
A second patrol boat stands in waters off Albert Park where the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expected this hour.
 
The Kaibu visit was kept off the official programme but details began to emerge around noon today.
 
Navy units were scrambled this morning with supplies and fuel loaded onto the RFNS Kikau.
 
The royal couple will take a flight to Kaibu after their engagements in Suva tomorrow.  
 
Kaibu in Fiji’s northern Lau group houses Kaibu Island Resort and the nearby Vatuvara Private Island with three exclusive villas on 800 hectares.
