ALIPATE Nagata may just be the luckiest candidate of the 2018 General Elections after he received candidate number 668, very similar to that of his party leader Frank Bainimarama.
The newcomer continues to rank in the top 10 candidates as the provisional results are relased.
Nagata currently polls more than even the Leader of the Opposition, Ro Teimumu Kepa and competes with another newcomer SODELPA’s Lynda Tabuya for the top 5 position.
At 12.48am after 1328 polling stations were counted, the relatively unknown young Nagata had polled 4722 votes.
