ROUND Four of the OFC Pro League ended with a thrilling battle between  South Melbourne FC and the Solomon Kings at Honiara’s National Stadium.

The atmosphere was electric as the noisy home crowd cheered on the Solomon Kings, and  Raphael Lea’i made a couple of close attempts at goal for the Solomon Kings.

Three South Melbourne players copped yellow cards as they scrambled in defense against the Kings.

Just before the half-time break, William Komasi delivered a perfect right corner-kick for Javin Wae to score with a spectacular header.

The energy remained loud in the second half as the “King’s Army” roared loudly in the stadium. (King’s Army is the name of the Solomon Kings fan base)

South Melbourne were so focused on trapping the elusive Sota Higashide that they forgot about the other potential threats posed by Solomon Kings, especially from Komasi and Lea’i.

In the last 20 minutes, the Solomon Kings fought hard to maintain their 1 – 0 lead with center-forward Don Keana leading the defense.

However, South Melbourne piled on the pressure in the 12 minutes of injury time to finally score and level the match at 1-1.
