FIJI Link’s newest ATR aircraft has arrived in Nadi following an extensive delivery journey across eight countries.

The aircraft, which departed from Toulouse, France, landed in Fiji on January 7 after transiting through Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, India, Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, and the Solomon Islands.

Fiji Airways says the addition marks a significant step in enhancing domestic and regional connectivity.

“This new ATR is more than a fleet renewal. Every new aircraft allows us to further strengthen domestic and regional connectivity; it brings people together and creates opportunities for connection, trade, and shared experiences across our islands and the Pacific,” said Athil Narayan, Chief Fiji Link and Cargo Operations Officer.

The new ATR is expected to offer improved fuel efficiency, better performance in island environments, and greater passenger comfort.

Fiji Link plans to deploy the aircraft on key domestic routes as it undergoes final preparations for entry into service.
