TAVEUNI

Taveuni is the site of SPBD’s seventh and most
recent branch opening.
“In my mind, Taveuni is indeed Fiji’s Garden
Island,” said SPBD Fiji General Manager Elrico
Munoz at the branch’s opening on 19 November
2021.

“But it should not only be the flowers that
should bloom in Taveuni. SPBD should
also help the women of Taveuni through
entrepreneurship.

“As we march on the road to recovery in 2022,
we are very much excited that finally, we have
set a stronghold here in the beautiful island of
Taveuni,” Munoz said.

10 Centres on Taveuni with 204 members have
already bloomed. They are:
• Vuna • Qarawalu • Tavuki • Lovonivonu
• Navakacoa • Matei • Navakawau Vou

• Nailotua • Waitavala • Qeleni

Not only that, but Josephine McComber from
the Waitavala Centre won the coveted SPBD
Businesswoman of Year award for 2020. She
was presented with her shield at the branch
opening by District Officer Taveuni, Samu
Saumatua.
