WARWICK Fiji Resort has appointed its first Fijian General Manager, with Tomasi Turukawa set to lead the Coral Coast property through plans to position it as a premier luxury destination.

Turukawa brings almost 20 years of experience in luxury hotel and resort management, including five years at the five-star Nanuku Resort.

His appointment comes as Warwick Fiji prepares for significant upgrades to its guest facilities, accommodation, dining experiences and lifestyle offerings.

Warwick Fiji said the appointment marked more than a leadership transition, describing it as a recognition of local talent and achievement within Fiji’s tourism industry.

Turukawa said he was honoured to lead the resort and build on its existing foundations while creating new opportunities for guests, employees and the wider community.

“Warwick Fiji has long been one of the country’s most iconic resorts, and I am humbled and grateful to God for the opportunity to lead such an experienced and passionate team,” Turukawa said. He said the resort would focus on delivering world-class experiences while creating a lasting legacy for its people and community as it enters its next chapter.
