Central Coast secure grand final spot

AFTER an intense match, ABM Galaxy came from behind to force the OFC Men’s Championship semifinal  into extra time.

But Central Coast remained composed to win 3 – 2 at the Four R Stadium in Ba.

The tempo and pace of the match was high with end to end action. ABM Galaxy were favored to win this clash based on current performance, but in the 15th minute, Raphael Leai shocked everyone with the first goal of the match for Central Coast. Leai found himself in open space in the 45th minute and nailed his double.

William Dos Santos Medina has scored nine goals in this tournament but the Central Coast defenders starved the Brazilian star of possession.

The timely inclusion of Joe Moses in the second half brough the match to life and sparked a comeback for ABM Galaxy. And soon enough the football found the golden boots of Medina who scored two brilliant goal to level the scores.

However, in extra time Raphael Leai broke clear once more and scored his third goal to secure the win for Central Coast.

Central Coast will play Auckland City in the grand final on Saturday.
