Air Niugini has advised customers that the airline’s weekly services from Brisbane to Palau via Port Moresby will be suspended, effective 01 May 2024.

This service commenced in February 2023 supported by the Australian government under their Pacific Flights Programme.

The airline said the passenger and freight growth unfortunately did not meet original expectations.

Air Niugini is grateful for the chance to participate in this Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) initiative. Air Niugini also thanked the tourism operators for their support over the last 13 months of operating the service and looks forward to opportunities to participate in future programmes.
