VANUATU United have reached the semi-finals of the OFC Pro-league with a 2-1 victory over Bula FC.
Bula went on the attack early and in the 19th minute Josaia Sela smacked in the first goal of the match.
About 10 minutes later, Kaile Auvray evaded the Vanuatu defenders before stabbing a low pass into the box. Thomas Dunn was there with a fine touch to slot it in but the goal was scratched after a review by the VAR for an offside.
Bula led 1 – 0 at half-time.
Returning from the break, Vanuatu showed signs of a comeback and scored in the final minutes of injury time. Owen Smith delivered a perfectly weighted corner kick for Azariah Soromon to finish with a spectacular header and the scores were level 1 – 1.
In the second session of extra time, Soromon was again at the centre of the action when he set up Nicolas King to score the winning goal.
Vanuatu United 2 – Bula FC 1.
Vanuatu United will meet South Melbourne in the semi-finals next Tuesday at the Go Media Stadium. Auckland FC will play against South Island United.
