Foreign ministers meet

Ministers meet ….. Tonga’s Foreign Minister, Prince Tupouto’a will chair the talks.

PACIFIC foreign ministers gather in Suva, Fiji tomorrow (Thursday) for final talks ahead of a regional leaders meeting in Honiara next month.

The ministers will consider the work undertaken on the implementation of the 2050 Strategy, the Review of the Regional Architecture, and the ongoing reforms to the Forum’s partnership mechanism.

They will also consider the region’s ongoing efforts to strengthen and deepen Pacific regionalism, in the face of intensifying geopolitical competition in the region.

Talks will be chaired by Crown Prince Tupoutoʻa ʻUlukalala – Tonga’s Minister for Foreign Affairs.

Earlier in the week, officials met for the Pre-Forum Session of the Forum Officials Committee Meeting, which refined and endorsed recommendations on key issues that will inform the 2025 Forum Foreign Ministers Meeting.
