THE Indo-Fijian community handed over the body of the Ratu na Tui Noco to his people late today.
Ratu Osea Damudamu was the first chief to accept the descendents of indentured labourers to his tribe.
In ceremonies last year the descendents were named Luvedra (children of the) Na Ratu.
He passed away after a short illness.
Late today members of the Indo-Fijian community handed over the body of the late Tui Noco by presenting a whales tooth (tabua) in the traditional manner.
