STAFF ACTIVITIES
First Quarter Review Workshop
The workshop to review the operations of the March 2025 quarter was facilitated by General Manager/Director Elrico Munoz on 11 April and
attended by the Branch Managers and Team Leaders from the 10 branches, including Operations Manager Jainendra Raj.
The event review was performed for branch operations against the targets set. Deliberations on the gaps in performance was also discussed with
the challenges and opportunities faced by each branch. This meeting provided the leaders of SPBD in their respective branches a holistic overview
of the operations of SPBD and how each branch is integral to the success of the objectives of SPBD.
Second Quarter Operations Planning Workshop
The one-day session was conducted by Operations Manager Jainendra Raj on 12 April 2025, where Branch Managers and Team Leaders presented
their plans for their respective branches for the second quarter. These targets also examined the resources available at each branch. Of particular
interest was the staff numbers and the urgency to fill the vacancies as soon as practicable. The leaders also discussed how risks will be mitigated
at each branch. Compliance to the manuals was emphasised, and it was agreed that when staff are not available, it is the leaders who must step up
to complete the targets of the branch and ensure seamless operations.
Lorraine Seeto (SPBD Fiji Director), Vani Bogidrau (Finance and Administration Manager), and Joana Tabua (Membership, Training and Compliance
Manager) were also present for the session to ensure that the Back Office could meet the needs of the Operations Team and also to ensure that
any issues currently faced by the Operations Team are resolved immediately. While the Operations Team did not have any issues, there is always
room for improvement to enhance the efficacy of SPBD’s work.
Weekly Lunch
SPBD Fiji continued to provide lunch for all its staff on Fridays throughout the June quarter. The initiative was introduced by the General Manager/
Director in January 2025. The objective of the weekly lunch is to enhance team bonding, sharing, caring, and to strengthen unity and team spirit.
SPBD Fiji acknowledges and supports our valued members’ businesses, as the lunch is purchased from them. With this custom, SPBD Fiji is also
able to provide feedback to its members about their food and service delivery. Staff birthdays that fall within the month are also celebrated on the
last Friday of every month.
