CONNECTING WITH OUR PARTNERS
Team SPBD Fiji marching with members at the Hibiscus Festival.
Festival Fever
Our members had the festival spirit in August
and September, with SPBD Fiji represented at the
Nasinu Festival, which ran 17-24 August, and the
Hibiscus Festival from 31 August-7 September.
SPBD stalls kept festival goers well fed, selling
BBQ, lovo, hot dogs and juice.
Raralevu 2 Centre participated in both festivals,
providing dinner for the ladies vying for Miss
Nasinu crown.
Our members from Kalokolevu, Naisogowaluvu
and Nauluvatu participated in the Hibiscus
Festival as microentrepreneurs. They reported
excellent sales, and said they were grateful for
the opportunity to be part of the “festival of all
festivals”.
In Suva, Team SPBD Fiji and their families joined
Raralevu 2 and members from other Centres in
the finale - a march through the streets of Suva
on 7 September.
