Regina was inspired to study a culinary arts Regina Kabweaa Teem
degree when she learned of the shortage 3rd-year student
of professionally qualified chefs not only in Bachelor of Arts in Culinary Arts
Kiribati but also in the Micronesian region.
Once she graduates, she hopes to apply her skills
and knowledge back home, and to pursue appropriate
qualifications to teach culinary arts in a professional setting
in Kiribati.
Regina came to Auckland University of Technology (AUT) as an
international student from Kiribati, supported by a Ministry of Foreign
Affairs and Trade NZ Scholarship.
