Fiji’s anti-corruption unit, FICAC has confirmed that it is currently interviewing SOCIAL Democratic Liberal Party leader (SODELPA) Sitiveni Rabuka at its head office in Suva.

“We can confirm that Mr Rabuka is currently under caution interview but we cannot disclose any more information,” Fiji’s Independent Commission Against Corruption media officer Bettlyn Matakitoga tells IB Online.

A SODELPA party worker and lawyer Usaia Pita Waqatakirewa raised the alert in a social media posting before 10am local time today to say that his leader has been summoned to FICAC headquarters at 0900 for “reasons unknown.”

It could not be established too whether Mr Rabuka would be charged today, and what these charges would be.
