MANASSEH Sogovare has been elected Prime Minister of the Solomon Islands this hour.
Sogovare- who lost the confidence of parliament last year – accepted his election on nationsl television.
He will be sworn in by Governor General Sir Fred Kabui at a later date.
Sogovare secured 36 of the 50 votes to beat Matthew Wale.
